THANKS AND CONGRATULATIONS to all who brought about our Parish Festival, and to all who came to share in the spirit. It was a great time; by Friday evening I saw a crowded Midway where the game booths were, kids enjoying the rides, and a lot of visiting under the tent. Yes rains came later in the evening both nights. We had a great Festival regardless. I don’t worry much about what the proceeds will be (and by the end of Friday night, they were close to last year anyway) but

IT’S STILL EASTER !! Yes the Easter Season goes for another couple of weeks; and every Sunday in the season has the same sense as Easter Sunday! I’m still wishing Happy Easter to people, and I get some strange looks. It’s hard to celebrate for 50 days! Even hard to keep flowers in church, much less to sustain the joy and hope we feel on Easter Sunday. Yet that is what this season calls us to do. So keep reaching for it! WOW ! What a week it was. The week ending last Sunday--A true Easter week. We observed Easter’s 2nd Sunday and Thomas’ proclamation “My Lord and My God!”, and celebrated Divine Mercy Sunday’s special opportunities for prayer. We continued with Confirmation Monday night. 34 of our youth reaffirmed their Baptism, and professed their readiness to live as adult Catholics. Saturday was 1st Communion, with students from our school, PSR, and a family home with a special catechist. T
