Technology
STREAM Priorities
The St. Rose Philippine Duchesne parish school board has a technology committee focused on researching and recommending best practices in education technology and related STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, & Math) curriculum. (What is STREAM?)
In 2016-17 they completed the following priorities:

Prepared an RFP to call for bids to upgrade the school's broadband network.

Established a Robotics club for 7th & 8th grade students.

Set up a Google Admin account to support the introduction of Chromebooks through the Federation of Catholic Schools Beyond Sunday Grant for 2017-18
Looking ahead, the technology committee will continue to research and explore ways that education tech tools can enhance our academic programs and STREAM at St. Rose Philippine Duchesne School.
Robotics at St. Rose Philippine Duchesne
Thanks to parents and community volunteers, our Robotics program is off to a great start at St. Rose Philippine Duchesne School. It has been a busy and productive year:

The H2O Dominators team is headed to the National Competition for the Sea Perch Challenge in Atlanta in May.

On May 9, all participants presented their work from the year to a panel of volunteer judges. See below for a slideshow of the event.
