March 17, 2020 - An Update from Fr. Tom

By the guidelines of the Federal CDC, the President, and St. Louis County, and along with the closure of Archdiocesan schools and the suspension of parish Masses by Archbishop Carlson, all parish facilities at St. Rose Philippine Duchesne are CLOSED to all activities beginning Wednesday, March 18 until further notice. This includes all parts of the School Site, including gym, cafeteria, and outdoor fields; and the Church and Adoration Chapel, Parish Hall and all meeting room areas at the Church Site. The facilities are closed to youth practices or games, adult practices or games, Organizations and Organization Boards, Boy and Girl Scout meetings at all levels, Youth Groups, Prayer groups, or other meetings or activities.

As of now, the Fish Fry will be held THIS FRIDAY on a carry-out basis only. The only people authorized to be in the buildings are church and school staff, maintenance workers, and Fish Fry staff. Any individual or group that enters the facilities who are unauthorized to be there will forfeit the right to use them in the future. Anyone who feels a legitimate need to access one of the facilities MUST call the Office Manager Monday through Thursday from 8:30 to 4:30.

Per the CDC and St. Louis County officials, these facilities closures are in effect until May 9thunless further announcements are made.

School and Parish Masses are suspended at least until April 6, when this will be re-evaluated.

At this time, the Parish Office will be open the usual business hours.

As the Archbishop has encouraged, please continue to make your offertory gift. Drop off envelopes at the Parish Office or make your gift online using the link on the parish website.

Donations for St. Vincent DePaul can be dropped off at the Parish Office.

Let’s continue to pray always, as our patroness did.

Father Tom Wyrsch, Pastor
