Christian Formation & Education
The Christian Initiation sessions for 2019-20 will begin soon. The group meets weekly at 9:30 a.m. in the Parish Center, Room #1. The classes are open to anyone interested in learning more about the Catholic faith. Even if you’re a life-long Catholic, you are most welcome to come and participate! Sessions are weekly on Sundays, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Parish Center (Parker Rd.), Room #1

Sessions are led by the CI team members (“catechists”)

Include prayer, presentation by catechist, group discussions, and Q & A

Materials include “Journey of Faith” series; “Catholicism” video presentations by Bishop Robert Barron

First 8 weeks (10/8 through 11/26) is the “Period of Inquiry”

Topics covered include basic beliefs of Catholics, how Catholics worship, the Bible, Mary and the Saints, organizational structure of the Catholic Church

After Period of Inquiry, you decide if you wish to continue in the program (meetings will continue on Sunday mornings, except during Christmas holidays)

There is NO CHARGE to attend the sessions

Regular attendance is important; make-up sessions can be arranged as needed
