The Shining Star of North County

 Our Students Shine Minimize

Students at St. Rose Philippine Duchesne Catholic School have many opportunities to serve one another and our community.

  • As “honorary members” of our parish’s St. Vincent de Paul Society, students are encouraged to help those in need by supporting our monthly food drive, which helps to stock the SVDP Food Pantry.
  • Our “Values Tree” program focuses on a value each month. Students learn what the value of each month means, and are encouraged to demonstrate the qualities of that value and notice it in others. Those who are “caught” demonstrating the value have their picture placed on the Values Tree in our school foyer.
  • We offer character education programs including D.A.R.E. for 5th graders and G.R.E.A.T. for 7th graders.
  • Student leadership is encouraged – our Student Council coordinates several activities throughout the year, including small fundraisers in support of charitable causes.
